All programs listed serve at-risk youth and/or teens in individual adult-to-youth matches unless otherwise noted. 
Many programs are also looking for qualified adult volunteers, ages 21 and above.

TRADITIONAL MENTORING 
(Meet at various public locations at times established by mentoring pair)

BeFriend-A-Child (Fairfax County Dept. of Family Services) 
Eligibility: Children between the ages of 5-12 whose families are involved with Fairfax County’s DFS. Children are referred by their DFS worker. Volunteers interested in becoming mentors must be at least 21 years of age.
